AI & Europe

Mistral is now our European AI provider

We have implemented Mistral as the managed LLM behind the next wave of remoteroom assistance: practical help for rooms, sharing, meetings, support, delivery, and subtitles, with one switch to turn it all off.

What changed
  • Roomy is in progress as a small helper for room organization, share links, project questions, support, bugs, and feature requests.
  • Meeting transcription and summaries, Delivery automation, and subtitle and translation workflows stay on the EU AI path.
  • Business and enterprise customers can bring their own LLM and their own S3-compatible storage instead of using the managed stack.

Automation

remoteroom.io now plugs into the tools your team already trusts

The remoteroom.io API makes it easier to connect rooms to pipeline tools, dashboards, scheduling helpers, and AI assistants while keeping access narrow and easy to revoke.

What changed
  • Create account, team, or room keys, then choose read-only or read/write access for the job.
  • Limit each key to the actions it needs, from reading media and comments to updating Todos, calendars, subtitles, delivery, Quick Calls, and Shot Tracker.
  • Approve agent connections through a browser flow and revoke them from settings whenever the work is done.

Access

Room access controls are easier to hand to clients and vendors

Advanced room settings now gather the technical access pieces in one predictable place, so producers can prepare the right handoff without opening the whole workspace.

What changed
  • Room API keys now live in Advanced Room Settings for trusted integrations.
  • Share Links now cover simple sends and tailored client room views with one consistent permission model.

A round of small but noticeable improvements makes playback smoother and feedback easier to read for teams spread across time zones and devices.

What changed
  • Scrub the review timeline with a wheel or trackpad.
  • See comment times in the viewer's local time zone.
  • Get sharper image previews and smarter playback quality on busy connections.

Desktop

FrameStream brings heavy downloads back to the desktop

The desktop companion is now available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, giving large selections a faster, more native path out of the browser.

What changed
  • Open selected media or folders from Review and Media Browser directly in FrameStream.
  • Keep a browser ZIP fallback for guests who do not have the app installed yet.
  • Use deep links to get from a room to a local transfer without rebuilding the selection by hand.

Review

Compare review has clearer guidance for every browser

Compare now explains the best path for exact side-by-side review while giving teams a dependable fallback when a browser cannot use the highest-precision playback mode.

What changed
  • New rooms use the unified Media & Review workspace, while older room layouts remain supported.
  • Chrome-based browsers get the most precise compare experience for compatible full-source media.
  • Other browsers still have a supported path for side-by-side review.
